Introductions - tell us about yourself

New to the Anchore Community?

Whether you’re a user, developer, enthusiast or Anchorenaut you’re part of the community, and we’re glad to have you. Feel free to tell us about yourself below!

I’ll start

 Hello! I’m Alan Pope - Director of Developer Relations at Anchore.

I’ve been with Anchore since April - so just over four months. I work closely with the OSS Team, responsible for Syft, Grype, Grant and many other projects. I also work closely on the Marketing side of the organisation, and help operate the Syft and Grype social accounts. See any silly gifs, that’s probably me, sorry.

If there’s anything we can do to make using and contributing to our tools better, I’m keen to hear it! Start a thread over in Syft, Grype or the General category and we’ll discuss!

You can also “DM” me right here in Discourse.

Finally, Cats > Dogs.

This is my cat, Trigger. He likes to keep my retro modems company.

Hi all!

My name’s Will Murphy. I’m a Senior Software Engineer at Anchore, working on Syft, Grype, and the other tools. (Actually, I’ve been spending a lot of time in Vunnel recently).

My goal right now is to make Grype’s output as accurate and useful as possible, which often requires tweaks to Vunnel or Syft.

Sometimes I write things over at my blog (opinions my own of course).

Hi Everyone!

My name is Christopher Phillips and I’m a Software Engineer at Anchore. You’ll see my fingerprints across a host of the Anchore tooling, but my current project is making Syft and Grant better at cataloging and recognizing licenses that we currently miss when generating SBOM.

Come hang out with us when we live stream on Thursdays - I’m always here if you have a pet issue or want one discussed during that stream.
