If you are using a version of Grype v0.13.0 or later, this announcement has no effect on you, and you can carry on.
On 20 November 2024 (90 days from now), we will stop publishing updates to Grype DB for schema v1 and schema v2. Schema versions 3 (released June 2021), 4 (released July 2022), and 5 (current) will continue to receive updates. You can follow the specific changes being done at Grype DB schemas v1 & v2 are EOL · Issue #2075 · anchore/grype · GitHub.
