Hi @floric, thanks for the message! The ubuntu provider is indeed out of date since 6/19 and we are working on it. All other data sources are current. If you’re scanning images based on Ubuntu you are affected, but not otherwise.

## Some more details

If you click into the data sync jobs, for example [Daily Data Sync · anchore/grype-db@fcee046 · GitHub](https://github.com/anchore/grype-db/actions/runs/27994317145) , you’ll see that only Ubuntu is failing. If you run `grype db update` and then `grype db providers` you’ll see this:

```
Notice that only the ubuntu provider (I added `**` in the output) is out of date.
We are actively working on a rewrite of the Ubuntu provider to help it be more operationally stable.
The provider timestamp is the useful check here; the database can still update daily while Ubuntu’s data stays frozen. Until the provider catches up, treat clean results for Ubuntu images as potentially incomplete for vulnerabilities disclosed after June 19.
This was resolved long ago and I should have updated this thread.
You can see today for example:
```auto
$ grype db providers | grep ubuntu
ubuntu 3 vunnel@0.65.0-post.2+b24ba2a 2026-10-29 00:26:05.050905 +0000 UTC xxh64:acdb3428f0621d20

```
data was synced early this morning for Ubuntu.
